Meet Ms O'Vets
Hi ladies, I will never claim to "know it all" but as a 30-something lady, I am on a never ending journey of learning and growth. I've had great exposure to some of life's challenging lessons, by way of observation and experience. I hope to offer insight with fellow ladies as I'm a strong believer in sharing wisdom, tips and guidance, particularly with those (young ladies) who follow behind.
I have a degree in Psychology and Sociology, pursued by my curious and analytical nature. This combined with my passion to create, research, live healthy, travel, and write, birthed The Ladies on Code Blog. A place where I can candidly share experiences, thoughts surrounding current states of affairs and solutions with other ladies (young/old).
I am a huge advocate for the restoration of fulfilment, divine feminine, community, unity and anything that serves our greater good as ladies. Whilst not heavy on religion, I intuitively agree with divine order of nature and try to be more conscious about what it truly means to live by that in today's climate. Ladies of any faith are welcome if you are comfortable with my use of scripture from the biblical Christian faith. Outsourced information and references is often used to support informative points.

The thesis of this brand is wrapped in its name. The Ladies on Code (The LoC) was created to restore unity, relatability, compassion, and spiritual awareness amongst like-minded women, whom we like to refer to as ladies. Our goal is to practice the arts of "never casting pearls before swine". Pearls refer to values, health, dignity, individuality, resources, time, energy and virtues (integrity, peace, love and happiness). The main functionality of swine is to devour garbage. This means that we greatly value our pearls to the extent that they are not disregarded as trash, to be consumed by swine. Therefore, we believe in prioritising self-preservation in the face of temptation and adversity. The LoC aims to be a supportive membership-only community of healthy-minded ladies who add value to one another through the transmission of knowledge and networking in a scarcity-free zone.
Not only is The LoC empowering for one’s mental health, but it is also insightful, and motivating for ladies to tap into their greatest selves. Whilst it may be possible to “do it all” as women, The LoC hopes to diminish such expectations by emphasizing innate/instinctual feminine traits. We believe in making healthy choices, to truly experience the "soft life" we desire to live, which is the life we were ordained to live. This means fully utilizing everything and everyone in our lives for their strengths to assist us through this evolving journey called life. Helping us to age gracefully by steering clear of anything/anyone that does not align with our greater good.
The world is an ever growing place with new editions of concepts, ideals and perspectives. Sometimes, it can be tricky trying to determine how our interest, values, morals and principles fit into the grant scheme of life's changing structure. It helps knowing that you have a community of like minded ladies who are firm with their stance whilst navigating similar predicaments. Thus, support and solutions can be shared to keep us ladies afloat.
Our core values consist of a commitment to faith, virtues, truth, femininity/womanhood, soft living, integrity, authenticity, peace, empathy and love. These, in essence, spring forth beauty from the inside out.
